The author discusses the importance of flora in the bacteria and how it gets out of balance with high-powered antibiotics, etc. I was personally on high-powered antibiotics and was unable to keep anything down. Acidophilus helped me immensly. Also, he discusses why Metamucil, and other products like this, are not condusive to colon health, and in some cases can lead to impactions of the colon. I highly recommend this book to learn about your colon health!
