About The Author
Sharon Oberne has a master’s degree in education, five years as a literacy specialist, twenty-five years as an elementary teacher and more than twenty years as the mother of three special needs children. All three of her children were mislabeled as having ADHD, before Sharon Oberne discovered their hidden disabilities.

She communicates to the reader the serious consequences when a child is misdiagnosed with ADHD. Not only does she present thorough research related to hidden disabilities, but shares her knowledge about the special education process, accommodations, modifications, and the needs of disabled college students. This book is a must for parents, school administrators, teachers, educational diagnosticians, as well as pediatricians. I highly recommend this book to anyone who works with and cares about children.
